Freezsnow®
Cryotherapy System

Next-Generation Cold Therapy for Post-Operative Care

Freezsnow® is a next-generation cryotherapy system designed for efficient, targeted, and long-lasting cold treatment in post-operative and trauma care. Developed by French manufacturer Ambelio, the patented gel-snow technology delivers sustained cooling while remaining soft and anatomically adaptable, improving patient comfort and reducing the risks associated with conventional ice therapy.

Applications

Hand

RegJoint™ is suitable for arthroplasty of small joints in the hand, including:

Carpometacarpal (CMC) Joints: Particularly effective in the CMC I joint, commonly affected by osteoarthritis.

Metacarpophalangeal (MCP) Joints: Applicable for MCP II-V joints, often impacted by rheumatoid arthritis.

Foot

In the foot, RegJoint™ addresses small joint issues such as:

Metatarsophalangeal (MTP) Joints: Effective for MTP I-V joints, providing relief in conditions like hallux rigidus

and other degenerative joint diseases.

Applications

Freezsnow® supports a wide range of clinical indications across orthopaedic, trauma, and rehabilitation care. It is used in post-operative recovery for all parts of the body and plays a valuable role in managing trauma and sports-related injuries. The system is equally effective in reducing swelling and pain after soft-tissue surgery and is an ideal adjunct to physiotherapy and pain-management protocols during rehabilitation.

Products
  • Designed specifically for post-operative knee surgery, ligament reconstruction, and sports injury recovery. Provides uniform circumferential cooling to the entire joint and can be combined with adjustable compression straps for optimal fit. Commonly used following ACL, TKR, and meniscus repair procedures.

  • Tailored for rotator cuff repair, shoulder arthroscopy, and fracture recovery. The ergonomic wrap design fits both left and right shoulders with targeted coverage across the deltoid and scapular regions. Reduces post-surgical swelling and supports early mobilisation.

  • Developed for hand, wrist, and thumb-base surgery recovery. Used in carpal tunnel release, trapeziectomy, and tendon repair procedures. Proven in clinical studies to reduce analgesic demand and swelling while maintaining compatibility with immobilisation splints.

  • Designed for ankle and foot trauma and post-reconstructive procedures. Conforms closely to the malleoli and Achilles region to deliver consistent cooling and reduce inflammation. Ideal for both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation.

Patient & Surgical Team Benefits

Rapid pain and swelling control Freezsnow® technology provides deep, consistent cooling that can reduce swelling and pain after surgery, helping patients recover faster with less reliance on analgesics.

Comfort and safety Unlike traditional ice packs, Freezsnow® maintains optimal therapeutic temperature (around 0–5 °C) without the risk of frostbite or skin irritation.

Longer-lasting cold The proprietary gel-snow maintains effective cooling for up to an hour, reducing replacement frequency and improving workflow efficiency.

Anatomical adaptability The malleable formulation ensures full contact with the body, adapting perfectly to complex shapes such as joints and contours.

Reusable and practical Freezsnow® packs can be re-frozen multiple times, making them suitable for both hospital and home recovery use.

Clinical Evidence

Clinical studies demonstrate the benefits of combining cryotherapy and compression in post-operative care. In a controlled trial following hand and wrist surgery, patients treated with a Freezsnow® cryotherapy splint required significantly less morphine and NSAIDs compared to those using standard immobilisation alone. These outcomes underline the value of advanced cooling in reducing inflammation, pain, and rehabilitation time.

Technical specification

Endoret® (PRGF®) is an advanced plasma-rich growth factor (PRGF) technology, utilising a 100% autologous preparation process to isolate and concentrate platelets and bioactive proteins from the patient’s own blood. This system enables the controlled release of growth factors, optimising tissue regeneration while minimising inflammation.

The process involves a standardized centrifugation protocol, ensuring precise separation of blood components without leukocytes, reducing pro-inflammatory responses. Endoret® (PRGF®) is engineered to be highly versatile, with customisable formulations tailored for specific clinical applications, including liquid, fibrin matrix, and injectable gel forms.

The technology is biocompatible and sterile, meeting rigorous safety and regulatory standards, and can be seamlessly integrated into various surgical disciplines such as orthopedics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, dermatology, and sports medicine. With proven efficacy backed by scientific research, Endoret® (PRGF®) represents a cutting-edge approach to regenerative medicine, providing surgeons with a precise, reproducible, and patient-friendly solution
