RegJoint™ bioabsorbable implant:
Restoring mobility, naturally
RegJoint™ is a porous, bioabsorbable implant designed for small joint arthroplasty in patients suffering from conditions like rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis. Implanted to replace damaged cartilage and/or bone, it provides temporary support and guides soft tissue ingrowth, gradually being replaced by the body's own fibrous tissue to form a flexible, durable pseudo-joint.
Implants that restore mobility
RegJoint™ offers a groundbreaking solution for restoring joint mobility and enhancing limb function, significantly improving patient outcomes.
Its bioabsorbable nature minimizes the risk of implant breakage, lowering the likelihood of long-term complications and ensuring a safer, more effective treatment option for both patients and healthcare providers.

Clinical Evidence
Clinical studies have shown the effectiveness of RegJoint™ in treating both hand and foot conditions. In hand surgery, long-term follow-ups have demonstrated significant pain reduction and improved joint function in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
Similarly, in foot surgery, patients undergoing MTP joint arthroplasties have reported enhanced mobility and decreased discomfort, highlighting RegJoint™ as a reliable solution for joint restoration and pain management.

Surgical Technique
The implantation of RegJoint™ does not require special tools.
The scaffold allows for bone grafting at the time of implantation and provides temporary support and guidance to soft tissue ingrowth, allowing a gradual optimized replacement of the implant with fibrous tissue, providing a flexible but durable pseudo-joint.
Product Specifications
RegJoint™ implants are available in various sizes to accommodate different joint anatomies:
Diameter: 8 mm to 20 mm
Thickness: 3.6 mm to 4.5 mm
Note: The implant loses its elasticity after 15 to 24 weeks in vivo and dissolves completely within a few years, depending on the patient.

Applications of RegJoint™
RegJoint™ is an ideal solution for arthroplasty of small joints in the hand, offering significant benefits for patients with joint degeneration. It is particularly effective in the carpometacarpal (CMC) joints, especially CMC I, which is commonly affected by osteoarthritis and can cause pain, stiffness, and reduced grip strength.
Additionally, RegJoint™ is well-suited for metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joints, specifically MCP II-V, which are often impacted by rheumatoid arthritis. By restoring joint function, reducing pain, and supporting natural tissue regeneration, RegJoint™ provides a long-lasting and minimally invasive treatment option for patients looking to regain hand mobility and improve their quality of life.
In the foot, RegJoint™ effectively addresses small joint issues, particularly in the metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joints. Designed for use in MTP I-V joints, it provides significant relief for patients suffering from hallux rigidus, a condition that leads to stiffness and pain in the big toe joint.
Additionally, RegJoint™ is a valuable treatment option for other degenerative joint diseases, helping to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall foot function. By promoting natural tissue regeneration and eliminating the need for implant removal, it offers a long-term solution for patients seeking to regain comfort and movement in their daily lives.
